Welcome to the NMHBA Foundation's Website!
The New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association Foundation was established in 2013 as a sister organization to the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association. The NMHBA Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The purpose of the NMHBA Foundation is to serve as a supporting organization (as defined by Section 509(a)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code) for the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association's charitable activities, including its scholarship, mentorship and educational programs. The goals of the NMHBA Foundation include offering scholarships to students pursuing a legal education in New Mexico, enriching and supporting legal education and other educational programs for students at all levels of the educational pipeline, and fostering diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. In partnership with the NMHBA, the NMHBA Foundation awards scholarships to law students, including book scholarships, bar scholarships, and a scholarship to a first-year law student at the UNM School of Law. The NMHBA Foundation also coordinates the Summer Law Camp, which is offered in partnership with the NMHBA and the University of New Mexico.
